It is encouraged to read the ingredients on food packaging prior to purchase and if you can, stick to local and organic. Also, know that the word “Natural” can be a code word to disguise many ingredients that are unhealthy, unnatural and should be avoided. In the case of the brand Naked Juice, owned by Pepsi, the company has recently faced a class action lawsuit where the company was sued for claiming their juice was natural when it actually contained unnatural ingredients such as Fibersol-2 (a corn fiber that acts as a bulking agent), fructooligosaccharides (an alternative sweetener), calcium pantothenate (an artificial sweetener synthetically produced from formaldehyde, a neurotoxin!), and also genetically-modified soy. The company was forced to payout six million dollars to consumers and they also were required to change their labeling. The labeling was modified but the toxic, harmful ingredients still remain. Please think and educated before you consume.
